Important Travel Update for Casino Guests
Exit 44 (Kinder) on I-10 Westbound at US 165 will be closed starting Monday, May 5, 2025, through February 2026.
Guests are advised to take a detour by:
- Using LA 101, then traveling north to US 165, or
- Using LA 101, then traveling south to US 90, and then west to US 165.
We’re closer than you think! Coushatta Casino Resort is located just east of Lake Charles, 23 miles north of I-10 on US Hwy. 165 (Exit 44) and 5 miles north of Kinder, Louisiana. Coushatta is 2 1/2 hours by car from Houston and 3 hours by car from New Orleans.

The main entrance parking area is closed for new construction. Use the parking area at the south end of the property. Valet parking is free at The Grand Hotel and Seven Clans Hotel during construction.
