Coushatta Casino Resort’s Seven Clans Poker Cup Charity Tournament Raises $9,030 to Benefit Area Foster and Underprivileged Children
October 8, 2013
Kinder, LA—Participants in Coushatta Casino Resort’s recent Seven Clans Poker Cup Tournament Series played poker for a good cause––proceeds from the first tournament in the series were donated to Vietnam Veterans of America, for the purpose of benefiting foster and underprivileged children of Allen, Calcasieu, and Jeff Davis parishes in their holiday toy drive. On October 4, casino associates Randall Litterall, Poker Room Manager, Tom Helo, Poker Tournament Manager, and Bryan Williams, Director of Public Relations, presented a check for $9,030 to Terry Courville, Louisiana State Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans of America and Local Chapter 215, Lester Guidry, Local Chapter 215 President, and Charles Fontenot, Local Chapter 215 Treasurer.
Randall Litterall, Poker Room Manager, stated, “Our tournament players were excited to play in this charity tournament, they were excited to know who was going to benefit from it. This is a great cause and we’re proud to support it.”
“We certainly appreciate all the help y’all give us to help these children,” stated Courville. “It really makes a difference in their lives.”
