Coushatta Casino Associates Raise $8,490 in “Blue Jeans for Babies” Fundraiser Benefiting March of Dimes

Casino Receives Two Awards for Fundraising Efforts

Kinder, LA— On June 26, 2014, Jacque Romero, General Manager, and Warren Davidson, Director of Slots at Coushatta Casino Resort presented a check for $8,490 to Martha Grant, Community Director, Acadiana Division, March of Dimes Foundation. The sum represents associates’ contributions throughout the casino’s annual “Blue Jeans for Babies” fundraiser promotion. During the check presentation ceremony, Ms. Grant in turn presented two awards to Coushatta Casino Resort: Gold Sponsor and 2nd place Team Fundraising in Lake Charles March for Babies.

Coushatta associates raised $8,490 for the March of Dimes by wearing blue jeans to work. Twice a week, for a period of six weeks, associates had the option to donate $5 to wear blue jeans to work for one day. Warren Davidson, Director of Slots at Coushatta Casino Resort, stated, “Our associates have a good time interacting with our guests about why they are wearing blue jeans at work. They appreciate having fun and at the same time, helping a worthy cause like this.” The March of Dimes is dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
