Coushatta Casino Resort Promotes James Welch to Director of Security

Kinder, LA––Coushatta Casino Resort recently announced that James Welch has been promoted to Director of Security.

Welch began his career at Coushatta Casino Resort in November 1994 as a Security Officer on the Opening Team. During his tenure at the casino, Welch has served in various positions inside the Security department including Shift Investigator, Shift Supervisory, Shift Manager, and has served as Security Manager since 2002. Welch stated, “It has been an honor and a privilege to work for Coushatta Casino Resort and the Coushatta Tribe for the past 20 years. As Director of Security, Welch is responsible for the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all activities in the Security, Valet, and Transportation departments. He is also responsible for creating, developing and implementing an effective strategy for the department, working with the General Manager, and determine objectives for future expansion.
