Coushatta Casino Resort Associates and Coushatta Tribe of Louisianan Donate $10,000 to Benefit Area’s Foster and Underprivileged Children

December 15, 2015

As a community service, associates of Coushatta Casino Resort and Koasati Pines Golf Course, and members of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, made donations of cash and new toys to Vietnam Veterans of America Local Chapter 215 to benefit foster and underprivileged children of Allen and Jeff Davis parishes. Contributions resulted from three employee fundraisers: a slot tournament, a Blackjack tournament, and a golf tournament, plus a donation from the Tribe. Combined donations totaled $10,000.

“The Christmas holidays are always a special time when our associates can join together to help raise funds and toys for children of Allen and Jeff Davis parishes. We always look forward to these events, knowing funds raised are going to a great cause and helping these kids have a better Christmas,” stated Jacque Romero, General Manager of Coushatta Casino Resort.

Proceeds from these three fundraisers are donated to Vietnam Veterans of America Local Chapter 215 to benefit the Chapter’s efforts toward providing quality Christmas gifts for foster and underprivileged children in Allen and Jeff Davis parishes. One hundred percent of these donations will be used in Allen and Jeff Davis parishes to assist these children.

Coushatta Casino Resort is located in Kinder, Louisiana on Highway 165 (I-10, exit 44), featuring three hotels and thousands of slots and table games including live poker, live bingo, off-track betting and a sportsbook. Call (800) 584-7263 or visit www.ccrla.com for more information.
