March 3, 2017
KINDER, LA––On Friday, February 17, Coushatta Casino Resort welcomed high school students from the Jennings ProStart Program. These students, interested in the culinary industry, toured the casino’s Bakery, Big Sky Steakhouse, Commissary, Terrace, Gumbeaux’s Oyster & Sports Bar, Cafe Grandé, and Seven Clans Buffet. By observing casino chefs in action, they experienced real-time production and service, both back-of-house and front-of-house. The students also participated in a Q&A about supplies and personnel required to produce food in bulk to service the casino’s eleven restaurants. After their morning tour, the casino provided a complimentary meal for the group in Seven Clans Buffet.
