May 11, 2017
KINDER, LA––Coushatta Casino Resort announces that Chef Chris Rigsbee has become certified by the National Restaurant Association as a Certified ServSafe® Instructor, one of very few in the country. ServSafe® is the food safety certification program offered by the National Restaurant Association (NRA). Chef Chris trains, tests, and certifies Coushatta’s culinary associates in this program.
The ServSafe® Food Handler Program delivers consistent food safety training to employees in five key areas: Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination & Allergens, Time & Temperature, and Cleaning & Sanitation. ServSafe® affords food service professionals the opportunity to train, test, and certify employees, and makes available a national database of certified food industry personnel. Every Coushatta culinary associate receives this very important training from the first day of employment, thus assuring well-trained, qualified food service personnel.
Michael Tierney, Director of Food & Beverage, states, “Coushatta Casino Resort is proud to lead the local food service industry by offering its guests the peace of mind of 100% certification by its food service personnel. Guests and associates alike can rest assured that every person involved in the food handling, preparation and service is nationally certified in this prestigious program.
