Country music legends Sammy Kershaw, Collin Raye and Aaron Tippin will share the stage at Coushatta Casino Resort’s Pavilion on Saturday, June 16, in their Roots & Boots Tour. Doors open at 6:30pm. Show starts at 8pm. General admission tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com and at Coushatta Box Office, where Advantage Club members receive a $10 discount. Kershaw, Tippin and Raye join forces to present an evening filled with stories and songs. Between them they’ve amassed almost 70 combined Top 40 hit singles, including “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “You’ve Got to Stand for Something,” and “That’s My Story.”
Since his debut in the early 90’s, Sammy Kershaw has remained one of the most consistent power hitters in country music—both with a chain of major hit records and sell-out touring schedules. Kershaw rode in on country’s new traditionalist wave in the early ’90s, finding success with ballads and a blend of updated honky tonk, Southern rock with a hint of Cajun flavor, and crossover-minded country-pop. Songs include “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Cadillac Style,” “Anywhere But Here,” “Haunted Heart,” “Queen of My Double-Wide Trailer,” “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore,” “Third Rate Romance,” “Meant To Be,” and “Love of My Life.”
The first single for Aaron Tippin, “You’ve Got To Stand For Something,” peaked at #6 on the Billboard Country Singles chart. The hits continued to pile up: “There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong With The Radio,” “My Blue Angel,” and “Workin’ Man’s PhD,” among them. His 1995 smash, “That’s As Close As I’ll Get To Loving You,” showcased a more dramatic side to his vocal approach, leading to his flagship artist status for Lyric Street Records.
Collin Raye has amassed 24 top ten records, 16 #1 hits, and 10-time male vocalist of the year nominee (5 CMA and 5 ACM). This truly electrifying performer of his era remains one of the great voices of our time. Raye’s soulful delivery has set country standards in such searing ballads as “Love, Me,” “In This Life,” “Not That Different” and “If I Were You.” Always an energizing showman, he has also blazed through such vivid rockers as “My Kind of Girl,” “That’s My Story,” “I Can Still Feel You” and “I Want You Bad.”
